Digital Merchandising Specialist

Lehman's has fast-growing online sales via multiple owned websites plus a variety of third-party websites. Experienced internal team: our first retail website launched in 1998. The right candidate has tremendous opportunity for continued growth by adding winners from our selection of 40,000 SKU's and through the launch of additional websites. (Two new sites in the last 60 days, and more coming in 2021!)

 

SUMMARY

The Digital Merchandising Specialist is a full time position responsible for developing and executing the online assortment and pricing / promotional strategy in collaboration with the Director of eCommerce, Business Finance Team and Merchant Team to maximize sales and profit across Lehman's owned and paid digital channels.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Must maintain and uphold the Lehman's brand and have a strong understanding of the various and unique Lehman's customers while making good business decisions.

Accountable for meeting overall eCommerce sales and margin goals by: Collaborate with our creative, content and merchandising teams to building and executing a consistent assortment strategy; defining a pricing & promotion strategy; above average analytic / reporting insights and competitive landscape to improve sales, profitability and conversion; ensure appropriate inventory allocations & buy plans are set for channel; manage product life cycle.

Understand and analyze the key drivers of performance related to online merchandising and own multiple team KPIs for customer engagement and developing a strategy to drive results in both the short and long-term

Collaborate with digital team to ensure successful product launch using best in class content and presentation standards are developed & maintained. Ensure team focus is on increasing speed-to-site, improving product information & imagery, educational tools, cross selling & search optimization. Collaborate with buyers & vendors to ensure product assortment, expansion & growth opportunities are supported with strategy development.

Manage product merchandising using a keen visual eye and best in class strategies to cross sell, upsell and present inspirational content to drive additional customer engagement within the website and PDP pages. Develop & present new selling opportunities for eCommerce to grow eCommerce site sales. Ensure customers understand the Omni-Channel shopping opportunities to allow for cross channel selling. Ensure product attribution is accurate to allow the customer to find products with ease.

Partner with Inventory Team to ensure product inventory allocation meets demand sales. Proactively assess needs to maintain deeper inventory position to support online growing channels, maintain awareness of online product availability to ensure an end of life strategy is developed to maximize sell through and margin.

Chooses products to feature in marketing campaigns and emails, matching products with high lifetime purchase rate conversion for new customers and high ROI per order for existing customers.

Leverage customer feedback and insights Customer Service, Consumer Insights & Social Media team along with customer Ratings & Reviews to determine areas for opportunity and optimization in product selection, assortment, merchandising placement, pricing and trend. Use customer feedback to influence improvements and optimization. Maintain an ongoing pulse on competitive landscape & direct competition. Keep current with the latest eCommerce trends in merchandising, assortment selection, emerging trends, promotional, AOV & Conversion driving tactics, etc.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Education Minimum: Bachelor's degree majoring in Merchandising, Marketing, or Business.

Or 3+ years' experience in relevant field; eCommerce, digital merchandising, digital marketing, or Omni-Channel.

Previous experience working in a retail environment preferred
