Position Summary & Purpose:       

The Warehouse Clerk will be responsible for receiving, storing, and transferring merchandise.  The Warehouse Clerk will be responsible for initiating correct inventory management by receiving and count all products whether vendor drop, freight drop, store transfer or other form or receipt, into the Dalton Warehouse location.  These received and counted products will then be placed in inventory for quick retrieval for order fulfillment.  The Warehouse Clerk will assist with taking physical inventory (cycle counting) of stock and checking/marking damaged, outdated, shorted, etc. merchandise and then entering correct inventory counts into the computer inventory system.  The Warehouse Clerk will work with both Lehman’s and Crownplace/Aladdin Brand products and will be a vital part of both teams in ensuring that finished products reach the customers.  The Warehouse Clerk will assist the Lehman’s Direct Sales team members in creating a memorable shopping experience by following through to the end of the order process to ensure the customer has received exceptional customer service (from beginning to end) and creating an outstanding first impression. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive and count stock items, and record data using computer.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse or storage yards.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse or other areas.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags or other labeling equipment.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Lehman’s Forklift and Picker License
  • Ability to understand and follow Lehman’s Safety Regulations
  • Other duties as assigned




  • Minimum of an Eighth (8th) Grade education


  • Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is a plus. Lehman's will provide on-the job training and informal training to otherwise qualified candidates.


  • English – must be able to communicate fluently and understand the English language utilizing any and all forms of communication (written, verbal, visual, etc.)


  • Must be willing and able to work assigned shift/schedule/provisory period as defined by supervision based on staffing needs
  • Must be able to provide reliable transportation for self to and from assigned worksite(s). Transportation can include but is not limited to self-transport, car-pooling, hired drivers, horse & buggy, bicycle, etc.  Neither Lehman’s nor Lehman’s supervision is responsible for securing or providing reliable transportation for this position.
