Position summary:

The Retail Stocker receives stocking assignments from the Receiver (or from a Retail Sales Department Leader). They stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with merchandise and arrange merchandise displays to attract customers. They act as backup to the Receiver to receive, store, and issue sales floor merchandise.


  • Answer customers' questions about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selection.
  • Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
  • Act as back up Receiver to receive, open, unpack and issue sales floor merchandise; pulls transfer documents to pick and prepare items for transfer to Lehman's other stores.
  • Clean display cases, shelves, and aisles.
  • Manage product back stock area – making sure it is well organized and safe.  Back stock should be cycled out onto the retail floor weekly.
  • Communicate inventory observations to Category Managers. (overstock, products needing replenished, etc.)
  • Help keep community areas clean and organized and restocked.  (trash, cardboard recycling, etc.)
  • Create pricing labels and attach, or change price labels on merchandise, referring to price list.
  • Take phone calls requesting product availability and help with retail floor coverage as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to access all areas of the Kidron store sales floor.
  • Capability to move up to 25 pounds on a routine basis and occasionally move heavier or bulky items.
  • Capability to physically execute all job-related tasks.


Experience and Education:

  • Prior retail experience preferred but not necessary; we will train otherwise qualified applicants.
  • Prior experience in retail stocking, merchandising or product promotion a plus.
  • Familiarity with Lehman's line of non-electric merchandise a plus.


Other Requirements:

  • Read, comprehend and speak the English language.
  • Basic computer skills (email; keyboard).
  • Ability to work the schedule. Typical schedule is 40 hours per week (five, 8-hour days). Saturday is a regular work day. Retail employees are assigned a regular day off during the week.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
